My name is Racheal Robinson. This is my seventh year working at CMP in the Grizzly Bear class with Ms. Camille. Prior to CMP, I worked at Harkness Elementary in Sacramento as a 1st/2nd Grade Teacher.
I really enjoy this age group! I think it is quite remarkable to be part of the learning experience at this level and to witness individual as well as group academic and social growth. I value the Montessori approach because it teaches to the whole child; not just the academics.
I have two children of my own. Emily is fourteen and Jacob is fifteen. Both children attended 9-12 and Middle School at this campus and now are attending Lincoln High. It has been a puree joy to observe their abilities in high school knowing they had the opportunity to receive a Montessori education beforehand. They are far more mature, reeponsible, and independent than most of their peers. Thank you Maria Monteessori and CMP Capitol!
I look forward to this school year and assisting with CMP parents to guide our students to the next social and academic level. Thank you in advance for your support. We cannot do what we do without the support of our wonderful parents!!
Hello CMP Capitol Families, my name is Camille Dyer Oliver and I am lucky enough to be joining Ms. Racheal again in the Grizzly Bear classroom. This will be my 10th year here at this campus and I am very elated to be experiencing another year with everyone. My educational background includes a BA in Psychology from CSU, Sacramento in 2005. Before I joined CMP, I worked at a level-12 children's home. I also traveled throughout Sacramento giving in-home care to children with Autism, which I still do to this day. What I appreciate about working in the classroom is just being able to experience life with our young friends. There's always moments learning something from somebody whether they are the educator or the student. THANKS MARIA MONTESSORI! I was born and raised in Sacramento and even attended an all girl’s college preparatory school with a strict uniform policy and a nun for a principal. I am a "raging" basketball fanatic who loves watching and playing the sport. I am still teaching myself how to play the guitar, love reading all types of books, and just enjoy what the world has to offer. I am excited to announce I completed my Montessori training last summer!
