Around Campus - November 2019

Dear Parents and Community Members,
Thank you so much for supporting our APEX Fundraiser. We raised over $17,000.00 this year that will go towards computers, campus beautification and field trips. We appreciate your participation and assistance in helping make this happen. The students enjoyed learning valuable skills and values from the APEX team members the past two weeks.
On another note, I hope all of you sign up for parent conferences this week. Our goal is to meet with 100% of parents and to update you on the progress of your child. If the schedule doesn't work for you, please contact your child's teacher so they can set up an appointment with you.
Have a great week!

Early Release Days
Please remember Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are Early Release Days. Please pick up your child promptly at 12pm unless you have arranged for them to go to Club M.

Absences & Tardies

The cold and flu season is upon us!  In order to keep our students and staff as healthy as possible during these upcoming months we asked that your child does not return to school from an illness until they have been fever free or not vomited for 24 hours.  If your child is absent from an illness for 3 days or longer we require a doctor’s note stating they may return to school.  Also, as a reminder, the California Education Code states that an excused tardy will be given for medical reasons only.  If your child is tardy due to a doctors, dentist or orthodontist appointment a note must be provided by the medical provider.  If you have any questions please see the CMP Family Handbook

Campus Volunteer Opportunities

Fun and unique volunteer opportunities:

  • Hallway Monitor: A parent monitoring hallways during lunch and recess ensuring that students SOAR!
  • Wash rags & job rugs: Club M
  • Lunch Salad Bar: We need a parent volunteer to help facilitate the line at the salad bar during lunch.

Please remember that all volunteers on campus must meet the volunteer clearance requirements (Please visit our website for more information on volunteer clearance.)
